Dr Jesimen T. Chipika is the Chairperson of the Human Resources Committee of the Board. Dr Chipika has a distinguished 27 year working career which includes 12 years of working as a Development Economist with the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Zimbabwe, Government of Zimbabwe, Private Sector, Civil Society and other Regional UN entities in Africa in different capacities including Programme Manager, Senior Economic Development Consultant and Economic Advisor since the year 2000 to date. She has produced 21 books and around 40 Research Papers in economics, indigenization and economic empowerment, poverty, MDGs, gender, HIV and AIDS, and pro-poor policy making. In 2004 she was awarded by the American Biographical Institute – USA, the ‘Great Women of the 21st Century International Award’, in recognition of Women who have demonstrated the ability to be Great Leaders, leaving an indelible imprint on today’s society and accomplishments for future Generations to consider in the field of Development Economics. In 2012 she was appointed to the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC).
